Mediscs has won the Innovative Payments Oscar in the E-Commerce and internet payment category, at the OSCARS Ceremony on March 24th 2009.

A tool for the online shopper, the Mediscs TOOAL-PAY solution enables completely secure online payments using a bank transfer or bank card details (in accordance with 3D security standards). It uses strong authentication and electronic signature technologies (electronic certificates), and also cutting edge identity federating technologies like Microsoft Cardspace or OPEN ID. Based in Montpellier, with over 20 staff, Mediscs is a specialized IT security publisher. It is currently present regionally but its aims are national and beyond.

Its CEO, Bernard Delbourg, explains : « We develop programs and systems intended for all types of mobile formats (cryptographic USB key, standard USB key, RFID, mobile) concerning strong authentication and 3D Secure payment.»

The innovative payment OSCARS are organised by PUBLI-NEWS, professional banking reviews publisher. The partners associated with the 2009 event are MasterCard, Sopra Group and Galitt.

Payforum, is the annual monetics event. It brings together banks, retailers and service providers. Its « 4 in 1 » formula includes : institutional conferences (with MasterCard, Groupement CB and Mercatel), providers’ workshops, an exhibition area and the Innovative Payments Oscars Ceremony, to highlight the collaborative ventures of the service providers, banks and retailers.
